Maybe you already have an idea of sustainable travel but it doesn’t seem like something you really need to incorporate into your travel life.
That’s what I thought too. Even though I’ve been traveling all my life. I figured sustainable travel meant I had to be a young backpacker traveling on a severe budget. In other words, I had a stereotype in mind of what the sustainable traveler might look like after seeing a handful of travel blogs dedicated to the green space.
But that’s changing. Because I also follow topics on climate change (love science-based facts) and can see that we are up against something immense that will change all of our lives in the coming decades.
I wanted to see how climate change will impact the way we travel. And most importantly, what we can do about it.
Thus, I decided to focus on the topic as a travel niche and will continue to strive to bring you all that I learn. Couple that newer knowledge with my decades of working in the travel industry and you get some insights you may not have thought of before.
I aim to help you figure out how to travel sustainably. I’m not asking you to stop traveling altogether, no, that would be unrealistic. But I plan on teaching you how to Become a Sustainable Traveler.
Let’s talk with one another about how we can do this together. Share your thoughts and ideas, and comment on my posts. We have a little bit of time left to change our travel habits in the coming decade. We aren’t 100% over the tipping point in all areas related to the climate crisis.
Now is the time to act. If not for yourself, for future generations.
